Safe Streets, Safe Wallets: Fighting Loan Sharks & Drugs Together |
||||
|
Christmas can be a hard time for some people. Please be careful of Loan Sharks lending money out or people you know who may have been effected by this.
Spotted an advert online for a quick cash loan or bank transfer with no checks or paperwork? Check the lender is FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) authorised and don't fall prey to loan sharks. If your lender isn't registered with the FCA contact @StopLoanSharksEngland on 0300 555 2222 or visit their website www.stoploansharks.co.uk Loan sharks can come in all shapes and sizes, would you know a loan shark if one approached you? Some things you can look out for: No paperwork for the loan, very high interest rates, use of bank cards as security and threats of violence. It can be hard to see when you're in a bad situation, don't let the people around you become part of this statistic, lets start talking about illegal debt and lending. If you think you or someone you know is involved with a loan shark contact @StopLoanSharksEngland on 0300 555 2222 or visit their website #SLSEngland #StopLoanSharksEngland #LetsTalkLoanSharks
This week has been a crackdown on drugs! #NotOnMyStreet You don’t want drugs being taken or sold on your street or nearby and I don’t want it on my patch or town! I know we stand together on this subject. I would like to inform you that another cuckooing address has been stopped and arrests made. One of these people have been remanded in police custody. This will hopefully lead to charges at court and putting a spanner in the works for the drug lines coming into Kidderminster. A person has also been stopped on our patch and a small amount of drugs found. Just remember big or small its illegal and I don’t stand for it. A divert course has been given to hopefully educate against drug use and prevent any drug related issues in the future.
Your Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park SNT have been out and supported a drugs warrant just out of Kidderminster. The crack down on drugs continues!
A reminder the SNT team will be at Starbucks on the Stourport road on Monday 8th December 2025 for a surgery 14:00 to 15:00 hours
I will be back next week, but I have training on Monday to Wednesday. I will see you out and about on Thursday 4th December 2025, but as always, I will leave you with a Fun fact: The Origin of the "Bobby" Nickname British police officers are often called “Bobbies” — and that nickname comes from Sir Robert Peel, who founded the Metropolitan Police in London in 1829. His officers were originally nicknamed “Peelers” or “Bobbies” after his first name. So every time someone in the UK casually says “the Bobbies are here,” they’re actually referencing the man who created modern policing nearly 200 years ago. Did you know that the first police uniforms in London were blue tailcoats and top hats? The top hats weren’t just for style — they were sturdy enough to be used as makeshift ladders to climb walls during a chase!
This is the last message I will be sending before December, so be ready for some Christmas facts coming up. | ||||
